4 Attractions In The South Of Lanzarote You Can Not Miss.

TIMANFAYA NATIONAL PARK

In Lanzarote, there's a place where the rocks are hot enough to fry eggs or chicken. It's called Timanfaya National Park and it's home to some of the most amazing natural wonders in all of Europe.

The best attractions in Lanzarote by We Love Lanzarote

Timanfaya National Park is in the south of Lanzarote, between the municipalities of Tinajo and Yaiza. It attracts almost one and a half million tourists every year—more than 25 volcanoes erupted here between 1730 and 1736! In fact, it's so popular that it's the second most visited park in the Canary Islands (El Teide National Park is number one) and the third most visited park in all of Spain (right after El Teide Picos de Europa Park).

The park has many different sites you can visit, including Cueva del Viento (Cave of the Wind), where you can feel hot volcanic pebbles on your skin; Fumaroles, where you can see steam coming out of cracks in the ground; You can also take a tour with a guide if you'd like to learn more about what makes this place so amazing and most importantly, to avoid queuing to enter the park. Visit National Park of Timanfaya with us with the group up to 14 people.

Lanzarote must see

EL GOLFO -GREEN LAGOON
The popularity of the El Golfo lagoon in the south of Lanzarote is undeniable. With more than 48,700 Instagram publications, it is considered one of Lanzarote's most photographed attractions. The green color of this lagoon is due to algae, while its name means "Clicos Pond," a reference to the crustaceans that lived there until they became extinct at the end of the 19th century. These creatures were hunted for food by turtles that were bred in nearby farms—another reason why this place is so special.

PAPAGAYO BEACH
If you're planning a trip to Lanzarote, you'll want to make sure you get time to enjoy its many beautiful beaches. The problem is, it's hard to choose which one is the best! Here we present the best beach in the south of Lanzarote!

Papagayo Beaches (or "Playas del Papagayo''). These beaches are located in Los Ajaches Natural Park, so they have an extra benefit—they're protected by UNESCO! You can swim peacefully in these bays because there aren't any waves (which means no wind). The beaches of papagayo are not easy to reach. It is a gravel road, so car rental companies do not insure a car for this route. A catamaran cruise towards the beaches of Papagayo is definitely a better option: refreshing & just cool! LA GERIA - AMAZING VINEYARDS OF LANZAROTE

La Geria is a craggy, volcanic moon that resembles a crater-riddled alien landscape.
When you visit La Geria, you'll be amazed by the stunning beauty of these lunar landscapes. It's definitely my number one on the island and is undoubtedly the biggest attraction in the south of Lanzarote!

La Geria has been cultivated for grapevines for centuries. In fact, it was one of the first areas to be cultivated in Europe. The volcanic soil and porous rocks combine to retain water and filter it into the soil—a perfect combination for grapevines!
The process begins by digging a hole to a depth of about 2.5 meters to reach the fertile soil beneath the surface. Then we plant a vine bush into this hole and cover it with volcanic ash (Lapilli), which has hygroscopic properties (it retains water and filters it into the soil). Finally, we created a wall (Los Zocos) from volcanic stones protecting the grapevine from wind damage. And have a look of the fruit of this original landscape :)
